Response

The user enters a response to the prompt in this region.  On dialog entry, this box is sometimes filled with the default (or expected) response.

Prompt

This message queries the user for specific information.  After entering the information, strike OK.  Hit cancel to abort the query.

Cancel Button

Choosing cancel aborts the query, in effect returning an empty response.

OK Button

Selecting this button returns the entered text as the query response.

"Ask" Dialog

This dialog displays a message and expects the user to enter an answer in response.  A default answer is sometimes displayed in the response box.
